The Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (Equipo Argentino de Antropología Forense, EAAF) is a non-governmental, nonprofit, scientific organization that applies forensic sciences - mainly forensic anthropology and archaeology- to the investigation of human rights violations in Argentina and worldwide. EAAF was established in 1984 to investigate the cases of at least 10,000 disappeared people in Argentina during the military government that ruled from 1976-1983. Today, the team works in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe on five integrated programs:

| UPDATED | Launch of the Latin American Initiative for the Identification of the “Disappeared” (LIID) |
| January 31, 2008 | EAAF received, between November 2007 and January 2008, nearly 2,000 calls and collected close to 1,750 blood samples as part of LIID. The team is working with 60 offices of the Secretary of Human Rights and 63 hospitals coordinated by the Minister of Health across the country to collect depositions and the blood samples. |
